A charity ball, raffle and auction held by Kate Tickner and her family and friends, far exceeded her initial target of £2,500 by raising over £10,000 to benefit people with dementia and their families.
The funds will be shared by the Contented Dementia Trust, whose book and training course helped the family to understand the condition and manage it in the best possible way, and Parklands Hospital, which cared for Kate’s mother and supported her family.
Kate’s very generous donation will enable the Contented Dementia Trust to continue spreading our positive message to all whose lives are touched by dementia. Interest in our work is growing steadily, and Kate’s help will enable us to expand our services at our Centre of Excellence at Burford and to train more presenters to work further afield.
