Actor Luke Newberry

Rising young acting star Luke Newberry recently completed the British London 10k run held on Sunday 8th July, raising a superb £302 for the Contented Dementia Trust.

Luke says ‘I recently worked on a film based in a retirement home for the elderly, and was made aware of the ‘SPECAL method’ by our Unit Nurse whilst on set. It’s also very important to me because my gran has dementia, and I have seen the effects it can have on a family. The Contented Dementia Trust offers a new and brilliantly positive approach to dealing with the effects of dementia…’

Luke finished the 10k run in position 5,542 in the field of 25,000 runners with a time of 54 minutes and 27 seconds – a truly valiant effort.  Well done Luke and thank you for supporting us!
