OCTOBER ROLL of HONOUR
Saskia Saunders raised £170.00 by competing in the Great West Run on October 13th – the annual half marathon road running event through Exeter’s streets and nearby country lanes.
Louise Powell On 19th October Louise completed a gruelling five kilometre assault course in Eridge Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, tackling everything from deep trenches, balance beams and blockade walls to wobbly bridges over lakes and a freezing ice crawl, not to mention traversing the steepest hills and the thickest woods; her heroic efforts raised an impressive £833.75
Leon Dore raised £212.25 by taking part in the Moonriders Halloween 100km cycle ride on October 25th/26th. The intrepid cyclists were taken on a figure of eight style tour of London’s haunted landmarks, setting off from ‘Dracula’s Lair’ at 11pm and continuing through the witching hour past the best (or worst!) of London’s haunted landmarks.
Annabelle Eyre raised an amazing £2,578.12 by taking part in the Great South Run, Europe’s leading 10 mile road race, on 26th October. The route takes in the iconic sites of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard including Portsmouth Cathedral, the Spinnaker Tower and HMS Victory.
